Body - Space

The 'felt' fabric sculpture can be understood as a figure trapped in time, as a spatialization of movement. We perceive the fabric as a commodity, but only this one has specific properties: it can stay still in time. Felt maintains a form that defies vertical forces or gravity. Through this characteristic, we can achieve relief.
The sculpture was inspired and guided by the dance performance The Propethres. The knots used to achieve the creases represent the spasms that the dancer experienced during the performance. The dancer moves effortlessly around the space, just as this piece floats in the corridor of the Faculty of Architecture.
